We are a Semi-Finalist for the National Pride Grant!!!!!!!

Hey Y'all, Mo Karnage here, founder and owner of Karnage Construction. I am pretty excited to have gotten home from the @diversityrichmond @vapride Celebrate Give Out Day event @nyd_rva tonight to read an email letting me know that @karnageconstruction is a semi finalist for the @foundersfirstcdc National Pride Grant!!!!

What an amazing way end the week and to hit Pride Month running!!

2024 has, so far, been a year of everyone at Karnage Construction really growing and stretching and busting ass to make this work, because we have a vision and we are determined to see it through. My team is amazing. The vibes are great. We aren't just building a business, we are building community, and we are changing the face of construction and historic preservation.

Karnage Construction is doing more now than ever, and we do not plan to stop.

Whether we get this or any grant or not, we will continue to build this #queer and #nonbinary owned company so we can create better lives for our community members. I definitely hope we get this grant though!!!

I am proud and grateful to even have the affirmation of making it to the semifinalist round of this grant process.

Founders First CDC is a national nonprofit which was started in 2015, and in less than a decade has distributed over 1 million dollars in grant money to diversely owned and run small businesses.

The National Pride Grant, which is in it's second year, gives grant money to LGBTQIA+ led businesses to support the premium wage jobs, economic growth, and positive cultural shifts that these businesses are already contributing.

Thanks to @foundersfirstcdc for this opportunity and morale boost, and fingers crossed we make it to the end so we can get to where we are headed faster.
