Our Amazing Team

Our crew are as nice as they are skilled and as funny as they are professional.

  • Mo Karnage

    Captain, Owner, Licensed Contractor

Mo Karnage, they/them, is a local rabble rouser and entrepreneur. Since 2014 Mo has owned and run Karnage Construction, a Class A Licensed contractor specializing in historic preservation work, but also providing home renovations, butch for hire small jobs, and new construction projects. Mo's great grandpa started Caravati's architectural salvage, and Mo's dad and grandpa were in the millwork and cabinetry business. Sawdust runs in thei blood, as do old Richmond houses. Mo is a parent to a rambunctious 7 year old, and has 3 dogs and 2 cats. Mo splits their time between Cuckoo in Louisa County and Highland Park. Mo is a vegan and into punk, zines, diy, and generally always has 14,000 projects going on. Mo loves thrift stores, free stuff, running, and hoarding building materials (its genetic). When Mo isn't building or painting, Mo is probably reading a trashy romance or murder book, but can be coaxed to get their nose out of the book to hangout at a local dive bar, coffee shop, or swimming hole.

Born and raised in Virginia, they have always considered Richmond home, and their love for the city runs deep. When not being paid to be covered in sawdust, you can find them being covered in sawdust recreationally or spending time outdoors with their partner Elizabeth, their two kids, and their pets: a black lab named Opal and a cat named Toe.

  • Edmund Boxley

    Communications Manager

Eddie (He/They) manages our social media accounts, email campaigns, website, office emails, and all things communication. He comes to Karnage with a background in marketing, advertising, content creation, and social media management. In his free time, Eddie can be found dabbling in various art mediums, roller skating with River City Roller Derby, or crocheting with his partner and their pets: two cats named Oli and Juni and a Dalmatian named Zoey.

He romes the mean streets of Richmond equipped with a flat claw hammer and a high caliber speed square seeking to exact justice on entropy. Wood rot beware! Bryan Wylder is on the case.

  • Yura Hammer

    Construction Worker

Yura Hammer is taking Karnage Construction to a new level. After the fallout, Yura was asked to participate in a botched military lab study. The experience left Yura with intuitive squareness.
